FAQ

1) What fields are compulsory to fill out when entering data
The record wont be submitted until the Date, Time and Number fields have been completed.

2) At what Scale must I have Zoomed to before I can add a record
In order to ensure greater accuracy, the system will require you to have zoomed in to a Scale of 1:300,000 or closer. Simply view the ScaleBar which is updated upon each Map movement.

3) How old can the sightings be in order to be added
The calendar has been enabled so that sightings from 1 Jan 2005 and thereafter can be added.

4) I would like to add a record, but am concerned about the Sensitivity of the record as there is a nest there
Simply click the "Sensitive" checkbox when filling out the details. The record will then be recorded, but will never be displayed. The record will however be used for analysis purposes when determining the no of records recorded per Grid Square

5) I made a mistake, how do I delete a record
Please send an email to delete@natworld.org quoting the RecordCode and your UserCode

6) How can I increase the speed of the system
a) turn on fewer Datasets in the Legend (the more datasets, the more processing)
b) change the 'Image Quality' dropdown to "Low". This will result in a smaller size image being returned (though some image quality will be lost)
c) upgrade Internet Connection to a faster Line

7) When I Zoomed some of the Datasets disappeared
Each Dataset has a pre-determined Scale in which it is Active (and Visible) in the Legend. Please see the Dataset Help to see individual Dataset Zoom Ranges
